Choosing the perfect reference photo

It is very difficult to capture a subject when the reference photos are washed out, too far away, low resolution, or strange angles.

I ask my clients to provide clear, high resolution photos which capture the personality of their animal, clearly showing the shape of their face, eye color, and coloring of the coat.
