A Brush With The Wild and The Tame
I began drawing horses as soon as I was old enough to hold a pencil, much to the dismay of my educators.
Through the years I have worked in graphite, charcoal, acrylics and oils, and am currently happily immersed in the world of all things colored pencil. I dabble mainly with animals, wild or tame except for that one time I painted my baby boy. I may just try human portraits again one day, but animals are it for now.
My husband bought me a set of 150 Prismacolor Premiers back in April of this year (2017), and they call to me every day, “come play with us”. It’s my new addiction. I really cannot express how happy it makes me to be back in the realm of creation. It is like I am peeking through a door that I could never figure out how to open before and it is truly fabulous.
I am still learning to work in the medium, and am blessed to have many friends with furry family members to practice drawing.
I hope you enjoy it, and if you like what you see, I'd love to create for you.

"Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key or another, to cause vibrations in the soul."
